First Ever Virtual Tweetup With Holocaust Survivor

88 year old Holocaust Survivor and subject of feature documentary "The Mosaic of Life", Dr. Jack Brauns, will participate in a virtual Tweetup to highlight the insurance bill in Congress that will help other survivors to collect benefits

The first ever virtual Tweetup with a Holocaust survivor of Dachau will be August 5th 2012 at noon PST. Dr. Jack Brauns will take questions via twitter hashtag #Mosaicoflife to discuss how his father bought an insurance policy for his education in 1930 and how he fought for 69 years to finally get paid. Dr. Brauns supports a US congressional bill that would force international insurance companies to pay holocaust survivors.

A virtual tweetup is an online meeting of people who use twitter to engage with a person via their tweets. This is a rare opportunity to communicate with one of the few remaining survivors of Dachau Concentration Camp. Questions asked or answers given during Dr. Brauns’ live #TheMosaicOfLife Tweetup, may be included in the upcoming feature length documentary, THE MOSAIC OF LIFE, directed by his daughter, award winning filmmaker, Alicia Brauns.

A virtual tweetup takes advantage of the twitter platform to have an extended conference with potentially thousands of people. THE MOSAIC OF LIFE will depict Dr. Brauns’ extraordinary life and his positive philosophies. Through his stories, interviews, and even home movies, THE MOSAIC OF LIFE will show the vivid and unpredictable ways that Dr. Brauns chooses to “color his internal and exterior worlds” turning what could have been a bleak, fearful and black perspective into a beautiful existence.

As part of the documentary, Dr. Jack Brauns would like return to Dachau Concentration camp to reveal how he survived and share his experiences of a sliver of kindness from a few German SS Officers who saved his life and his father’s life. He will also reveal the tools he used to overcome adversity and master his destiny.

The project is currently raising funds via crowd funding in order to record this crucial segment of his story. Donations are being accepted at The Film project is sponsored From The Heart Productions, a 501c3 non-profit, so all donations to the documentary are tax deductible.

In addition to director Alicia Brauns, the creative team of THE MOSAIC OF LIFE also includes Executive Producer Yumi V.
