Hall’s book presents a world where the prophesized end-times have come. Her protagonists, members of a secret government Go-team, race around the country, trying to identify the source of the tragedies, the murders, the missing citizens before it is too late.
An excerpt from “Chronicles of the Missing”:
“Not in the beginning; but, later, towards the end. Contemplating of the falling of the twin towers began the final judgment. There were wars and rumors of wars. There was violence and destruction beginning with natural disasters, plaques, pests, severe flooding, massive hurricanes of increasing mass and intensity, tornadoes with stronger and more vigorous wind storms. There was famine, nuclear devastation, blizzards and droughts, wild mass of locusts ingesting whole farms and fields. There were dead sea zones where there was no oxygen for life and dead fish and mammals floated on the top of the ocean. There were dead skies where there was no oxygen in the atmosphere and birds flying through the area would fall from the sky. The climate was sometimes too hot, sometimes too cold and always unpredictable. There were more serial killers, pedophiles, and more people who had lost touch with reality.”
“We all have a self awareness that desires to know where we came from and where we are going,” Hall says, when asked about her book’s relevance. “Science was supposed to answer those questions for us. This book shines a light on our ultimate fear and makes the unknown known.”
Intended as the first book in a series, “Chronicles of the Missing” is available now from major online booksellers.
