Inmar, a technology company that operates collaborative commerce networks, today announced that the location of its future corporate headquarters, The Inmar Client and Team Support Center, will be downtown Winston-Salem in the northern district of the Piedmont Triad Research Park.
The site sits at the South East corner of Seventh and Vine Streets. The news was announced at the company’s quarterly associate Town Hall meeting. Inmar expects to begin the move in November 2013 and to be fully moved in by year-end.

The new offices will be approximately 240,000 square feet located in the historic 90-3 and 90-1A RJ Reynolds buildings. Both buildings are approximately 51 years old.

“This Historic re-development opportunity matches up with Inmar’s culture of sustainability,” said David Mounts, Inmar CEO. “We plan to embrace and display the historic features of the building and deliver a modern, open and creative environment that will match Inmar’s brand as an innovative technology company.”

Inmar is partnering with The Wexford Technology Group who was the developer of the recently completed BioTech Place project for Wake Forest University Health Sciences located in the same area. Triad Commercial Properties represented Inmar as its broker in the transaction. The project will be “LEED Certified” meaning that the building will be built using strategies aimed at achieving high performance in key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality.

In addition to the unique inside and outside design opportunities at the property, a Rails-to-Trails program will be located behind the building as well as a green park just to the south west of the premises.

Today’s announcement comes almost three months after Inmar received approval for city, county and state incentives for its commitment to add over 200 new jobs.
