August and September is one of the best times of the year to come enjoy Snowmass. The weather is perfect, the mountains are colorful, and the events are world-class and uniquely Snowmass.

Now that summer has reached its mid-point, Stonebridge Condominiums in Snowmass Village, Colorado, wants to be sure the word is out that the events schedule has much more to offer through Labor Day and beyond. From Colorado’s oldest continually running community rodeo, to one of the highest elevation hot air balloon festivals in the world, the summer events lineup at Snowmass makes this alpine town the place to be.

“August and September is one of the best times of the year to come enjoy Snowmass,” said Edie Gardner of Stonebridge Condominiums. “The weather is perfect, the mountains are colorful, and the events are world-class and unique to Snowmass. Where else can you watch downhill mountain bike racing from the deck of your condo or enjoy a world-class outdoor music festival in this kind of beautiful setting?”

The popular Snowmass Free Thursday Night Concert Series on Fanny Hill continues through August with exciting bands and entertainment under the stars. Taking place right on the Snowmass ski slope and just up the hill from Stonebridge Condominiums, this music series is a local’s favorite that brings nationally acclaimed artists to a unique outdoor venue.

Bike racing is a big part of summer in Snowmass, with several races scheduled through the end of the summer. Highlights include the Blast the Mass downhill race, which goes right past the Stonebridge Condos and finishes in Base Village, and the second stage of the Aspen Snowmass Women’s Pro stage race, a road race featuring a 35-mile circuit ride around Snowmass Village. Additionally, the USA Pro Cycling Challenge makes a stop in Aspen after racing down Independence Pass on August 22 and 23.

August 25th brings a one of a kind art event to Snowmass—Chalk It Up. Artists express themselves with chalk art drawings on the sidewalks of the Village, with cash prizes and categories for kids as well. But perhaps the biggest event of the summer happens over Labor Day weekend, with The Jazz Aspen/Snowmass Festival. Touted as “The hottest 72 hours of the summer”, the 22nd year of this event features huge talent, from Steve Miller Band, to Sugarland, to Michael Franti. The event draws up to 10,000 people a day, and features three stages, a kid’s corner, and plenty of food and craft vendors.

The events don’t end at Labor Day, however. Another exciting event is the Snowmass Balloon Festival in mid-September. For three days, over thirty pilots fly their craft through the mountains of Colorado, with a distance race covering the entire Roaring Fork Valley. “This is one event that both kids and adults just love,” Edie Gardner says. “The colorful balloons in contrast with the Snowmass peaks is truly a breathtaking sight. And the Snowmass Wine Festival overlaps with the end of this event, which makes for the perfect long weekend in Snowmass Village."

Located in the heart of the village, Stonebridge amenities include an outdoor pool, exercise facility, and accommodations ranging from one to four bedrooms.
