The market for digital comics is booming and is expected to see triple-digit growth in 2012.

Digital comics are all the rage for the iPad, with triple digit growth taking place this year. What better way to understand what's happening than through a digital magazine about digital comics and graphic novels? INFINITY is that brand-new magazine, built from the ground up for the iPad. It contains a roundup of digital comics news, features, interviews and reviews, mixed with audio, video and interactivity. Issues are downloaded to subscribers via Apple’s Newsstand service for the iPad.
INFINITY publisher Russell Willis commented: “Digital delivery is a huge part of the future of comics and graphic novels. We’re launching INFINITY to cover things as they develop, debate key issues, such as user experience, platforms and pricing, interview the main players, and provide a guide for people to the good stuff."
INFINITY had a previous incarnation as a small press comics fanzine in the 80s when it included early work by now-famous comics people such as Alan Moore and Warren Ellis. Today, publisher Russell Willis has swapped his photocopier for an iPad and relaunched INFINITY as a professional magazine for the digital age. The preview issue is out now with the next issue scheduled for September. All issues are free.
