The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum announces the rare opportunity to sketch, draw and watercolor independently on the grounds of Georgia O’Keeffe’s Home and Studio in Abiquiu on September 24, 2012. A half or full day are available to experience the landscape that inspired the artist for 40 years, including views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain range, Abiquiu Mesa, the road to Abiquiu, and the scene within the walls of the artist’s garden.
“We are pleased to offer artists of all levels to experience the spectacular home, studio and surroundings that Miss O’Keeffe enjoyed,” said Agapita Lopez, Rights and Reproductions Director and Director of the Abiquiu Home & Studio Tours. “This is a rare opportunity to experience an autumn setting in the place that inspired the artist so greatly.”
