Central to our mission is unraveling the mystery of what causes different neurological disorders.
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) August 03, 2012
A team from Blackrock Neuromed will be available for complete demonstrations of the Cervello Elite technology at this year’s ASET Meeting in St. Paul, MN, August 2-3.
The Cervello Elite system is the first and only technology available that combines a full range of electrophysiology research capability with a High Definition Video EEG recording system. It requires four cables, instead of the standard 128 individual connections, and synchronizes all data immediately for both clinical and research applications.
“Central to our mission is unraveling the mystery of what causes different neurological disorders,” said Andrew Gotshalk, CEO Blackrock NeuroMed. “We look forward to attending this year’s ASET Conference so that our team can demonstrate the promise and potential of this highly advanced technology that we believe will revolutionize diagnosis and therapy.”
Standard EEG technology measures the energy of tens of thousands of neurons in the brain at once. Blackrock NeuroMed’s Cervello Elite measures and records signals from each tiny neuron, allowing the clinician unprecedented precision in identifying underlying causes of what may be triggering disruption in the brain’s natural circuitry.
Tom Keener, Director of Sales will lead the team from Blackrock NeuroMed, which includes Shanna Ryan, Senior Product Manager and Troy Pridgeon, Regional Sales Manager. The team will demonstrate new software that significantly improves how technicians set up and map channels to the correct electrodes.
Visitors can also see a video featuring Dr. Jean Gotman, of the Montreal Neurological Institute, and McGill University. Dr. Gotman is a member of Blackrock NeuroMed’s scientific advisory board. He will discuss advances in EEG technology, including the Cervello Elite system.
