Construction is now complete for the Enclave Apartments at 1489 Colony Lodge Street in Winston-Salem, NC! Taking over a failing project and transforming it into a thriving new community lead Miller-Valentine Group to partner with local, state, and federal organizations.

Construction is now complete for The Enclave Apartments located at the Hanes Mills Road and University Parkway Corridor in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The grand opening will be held on site on Tuesday, August 7 from 11am to 1pm with the ribbon cutting at 12:15pm.

Renovations for 12 existing homes and construction of 56 brand new two- and three-bedroom apartments has created over $8 million of local construction jobs for the Winston-Salem economy. Miller-Valentine Group was chosen to develop, construct, and manage this project after being recognized as one of the Affordable Housing Finance’s (AHF) Top 25 Affordable-Housing Owners in the United States. In addition, Miller-Valentine Group chose to partner with locally based not-for-profit North Carolina Housing Federation, who assisted greatly in the development and financing of the property.

Dave Liette, President of Miller-Valentine Development said that Miller-Valentine Group was very excited to have the opportunity to take over the failed condo project. Developing it into a successful community the city and neighbors can be proud of was no easy task. Liette explained, “The Enclave is not just an apartment community to Miller-Valentine Group, it is the opportunity to elevate the quality of life and peace of mind of every resident we serve in the years to come. We are greatly honored to touch the lives of families in the Winston-Salem area.”

Renovations and construction of The Enclave Apartments were made possible through the collaboration of several financing partners including RBC Capital Markets, CitiBank NA, The City of Winston-Salem Housing Foundation, the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency and Forsyth County.

A federally funded, state managed program allows Miller-Valentine Group to offer these gorgeous new apartment homes in Winston-Salem at very affordable rental rates. In fact, The Enclave has been set aside for households earning no more than 60% of the median household income in Forsyth County. This program allows residents within the state approved income parameters to take advantage of these brand new apartments in Winston-Salem.
