"I have enjoyed SCT's innovative approach to theatre, and find it a wonderful compliment to the rich theatre environment in Baltimore", said Chickering.

Entering its sixth season, Single Carrot Theatre is making strides toward growing its infrastructure. The Board of Directors has added two new members, each an expert in their respective fields, and (perhaps equally important to the Single Carrot family) theatre patrons and connoisseurs in their own right. Susan Anthony and F. William Chickering have agreed to join the board and the newest members of the team are enthusiastic to begin the work ahead.
Said Chickering, "I have enjoyed SCT's innovative approach to theatre, and find it a wonderful compliment to the rich theatre environment in Baltimore." The company sought out Chickering, a professor at Rider University, for his roots in communities in Baltimore and beyond. Chickering's work brings him all around the east coast, and his experience in the arts, education, and real estate worlds seemed a perfect match for Single Carrot Theatre. "My hope is that some of my experience in the not-for-profit world will be of help to the growth and success of the Carrots. I am particularly interested in helping the group acquire its own slightly larger performance home," he concluded.
Anthony started Sawmill Marketing, and has decades of marketing experience for a diverse range of organizations and individuals, in multiple mediums. She has become an active patron at the theatre, as well as a mentor to Single Carrot Theatre's Director of Public Relations, Jessica Garrett. "I am a huge fan of Single Carrot Theatre and welcome this opportunity to begin to reciprocate all that they give me to me", said Anthony. The company reflects a similar respect and appreciation for Anthony and Chickering. "Single Carrot Theatre's family and Board of Directors is growing," said Single Carrot Theatre Managing Director, "Anthony's expertise in marketing and public relations along with Chickering's real estate experience is going help Single Carrot continue to grow and thrive in Baltimore." Thriving is just the idea. The company felt that the growth of the organization should be reflected in its Board of Directors, and with the addition of Anthony and Chickering, it is.
