As the UK is in the process of establishing the world’s first green investment bank, serving cabinet minister, Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable MP will present the keynote address to attendees at the forthcoming Bioenergy Finance Forum (http://www.greenpowerconferences.com/bioenergyfinance), as part of the global-leading World Biofuels Markets Series.

During his presentation light will be cast on to the Government’s unique efforts to drive future investment into the bioenergy sector through the inaugurating of the Green Investment Bank. How different policies and support mechanisms are affecting the financing of bioenergy projects will also be answered within the Keynote Address from the Secretary of State for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills on 19 September 2012.

In confirmation of his involvement at the Bioenergy Finance Forum, Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable MP commented “the Government is committed to setting the UK firmly on course towards a green and growing economy, and the UK Green Investment Bank is a key component of this transition.”

“As the bioenergy industry grows in global importance, it is imperative that issues surrounding finance and investment within the sector are resolved in order to aid development and reach targets,” said Hannah Yates, Event Director for Bioenergy Finance Forum. “Based on many years of experience in economic affairs, the Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable MP will offer our attendees an outlook on finance and investment within the bioenergy market for 2013 and beyond.”

The inaugural Bioenergy Finance Forum will take place September 19, 2012 at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel, London. The conference will be joined by 100 senior decision making, top level attendees from across the bioenergy and finance communities. In conjunction with Bioenergy Finance Forum is the Renewables M&A Conference, where industry- leading speakers will give insights into the burgeoning renewable secondary market.
