Applied Marketing Science, Inc. (AMS), a leading-edge market research and consulting firm, is pleased to announce that John Burns has joined the firm as an Account Executive working in the Product & Process Innovation practice area of the company. With nearly fifteen years of market research experience, he is responsible for business development and account management and will design, sell and execute customized research to support innovation and new product development.

John has held a variety of positions in market research and account development. He has extensive experience selling and executing a wide range of qualitative and quantitative market research. Most recently, John was a Senior Account Director at the Forbes Consulting Group, where he managed the overall sales, marketing and account development for market research clients across several industries, including consumer packaged goods, financial services, medical devices and pharmaceuticals. In this position, his work involved large-scale domestic and international research projects. Before joining The Forbes Consulting Group, John co-founded Isurus Market Research & Consulting, a full-service primary market research firm specializing in the business-to-business technology sector. He also was a Client Services Director at Research International.

John holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Connecticut.
