Wearable Art Jewelry Is A Charming Chicago Concept!

Residents of Chicago have a wearable art jewelry store featuring international designers and one-of-a kind pieces. The store, Pistachios, is kicking off its media tour event for members of the press.

Pistachios is a charming art jewelry gallery located in Chicago’s Magnificent Mile area. It has been a destination for collectors of wearable art for almost twenty years. Located on Grand Avenue between Rush and Wabash on the street level of Nordstrom, Pistachios proudly features the work of over 120 international jewelry artists. While primarily highlighting a wide selection of silver and steel handmade work, the gallery also features a decadent collection of pieces that incorporate goldsmithing and precious stones. Starting August of 2012, Pistachios will open its store for private media tours (during and after hours) to qualified members of the press.

“I believe residents of Chicago will love visiting Pistachios because it affords them a personal experience,” says Helene Vece, Media Manager for Pistachios and CEO of JumpStart Ink. “The best way to get the word out about these pieces is to invite the press to tour the store. Both buyers and the media can touch the pieces, try them on, and really get a sense for the intentional detail that goes into the wearable art. The gallery wants everyone to get to know the art firsthand- an experience that can’t be obtained through the cold click of a mouse.”

Pistachios invites qualified members of the press and residents of Chicago to visit the store and encounter a warm, inspiring, and creative atmosphere. The pieces are hand selected for their practicality as well as their beauty. “Wearable art should make a provocative statement while also performing as conventional jewelry; it must have the ability to withstand every day wear and tear,” Vece continued. “Earrings have to be light, bracelets have to be durable, and necklaces have to lay properly on the body.”

Pistachios is located at 55 East Grand Avenue. Chicago, Il. 60611. The gallery features the precise and exacting work of world renown artists such as Alex Sepkus, Pat Flynn, Niessing, and Michael Zobel. Members of the media are invited to tour the Gallery during or after hours. Private tours and exclusive photo opportunities are available upon qualification only. However, online shopping does not provide the full buying experience that Pistachios’ clientele have come to know and love.
