Online Marketing Firm, fishbat, analyzes Flurry’s new Tracking Software

Flurry, a company that specializes in apps and app measurement, released a new product called “Personas” that will allow developers, advertisers, and publishers.

On August 6th, 2012 online marketing firm [fishbat analyzed app specialist Flurry’s latest tracking software, “Personas.” The software will give app developers, advertisers, and publishers more detailed information on their user base than was previously available.

According to TechCrunch, the new “Personas” software will break down users into groups such as Real Estate Follower, Business Professionals, Entertainment Enthusiasts, Music Lovers, Home & Garden Pros and Auto Enthusiasts. TechCrunch responded to the program stating, “By identifying these different groups, app publishers and advertisers alike can use the new feature to deliver better, more relevant ads to an app’s users or to better customize the app with a given group’s needs in mind.”

Sida Li, social media director at online marketing firm, fishbat, says, “Flurry’s new software comes as great news for anyone in the lucrative app industry. With this increased tracking ability they’ll not only be able to make their apps as catered to their user base as possible, they will also be able to attract advertisers because they’ll be able to inform potential advertisers of their users’ likes and interests.”

The categories are not mutually exclusive. A user can fall into more than one category. This means the percentages seen in each of the categories in “Personas” will add up to more than 100%, but that is expected. “Personas” is currently available by contacting Flurry through their website.
