First Annual Vintage Motorsports Show on August 12th During Oconomowoc Days August 10-12th (Media VIP event from 11am - noon Sunday)

Oconomowoc Days, a not-for-profit organization, announces the first annual Vintage Motorsports Show will be held in Roosevelt Park from 10:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 12. Admission is free.

The Vintage Motorsports Show at Oconomowoc Days is a one of a kind and will feature 25+ vintage racing cars that represent the history of short track racing in Southeastern Wisconsin. Festival go-ers will see the racing machines of yesterday and seven of the original drivers will be in attendance. Specifically, the vehicles represent the years of 1950 to 1970 and will include both sports cars and dragsters.

The drivers include:

•     Miles "The Mouse" Melius – Raced Modified Stock Cars and Midgets
•     Gib Wiser – Raced Sprint Cars
•     Aaron Solsrud – Raced Modified Stock Cars
•     Bob Robel – Raced Modified Stock Cars
•     Billy “The Bristol Bullet” Bohn – Raced Modified Stock Cars
•     Billy Engelhart – Raced Indy Cars and Midgets
•     Dick Colburn – Raced Modified Stock Cars

In total, these drivers and the cars on display at the Vintage Motorsports Show have raced on virtually every short track in Southeastern, WI such as Hales Corners Motor Speedway, the legendary Milwaukee Mile, Slinger Motor Speedway, and those in Cedarburg, Beaver Dam, Wilmot, Sun Prairie, Plymouth, and more. Billy Engelhart has raced all over the U.S., including the Indy 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
