My book is necessary in today’s society because it will show the reader that we worship a Living God who walks and talks with us in our journey of life and how He comes to the rescue of people who love Him and have faith in Him.

PANORA, Iowa (PRWEB) August 08, 2012

Author Christina Singh found God at Bethany Theological Seminary located in Richmond, Ind., where she completed her M.Div. “I had experienced persecution in India which I survived by the grace of God,” she says. “I wanted to share my experiences with the world hoping that my book might help someone who was going through similar experiences.” This in mind, Singh has penned her newest book, “From Krishna to Christ” (published by AuthorHouse).

“From Krishna to Christ” is a memoir of a young woman’s heartrending experiences of subjugation to the will of men in her family and the Hindu society, and the breaking of the shackles of bondage into the light of freedom. It is a story of her journey and slow transformation from being a servile Hindu woman and worshiping Hindu gods of clay – namely Krishna, Shiva and Ram – to her faith and trust in Jesus Christ. The author finally emerges a mature, enlightened woman in spite of the difficulties and persecutions she faced in following Jesus.

Singh’s story starts from her childhood, from the day she encountered Christ in the form of a picture, and ends with her coming to Bethany Theological Seminary in the United States, dedicating her life totally to God by serving as pastor in Iowa’s Panora Church of the Brethren.

“There is a culture of disbelief in today’s society,” Singh believes. “People have put God on the shelf and use His name only when required. My book is necessary in today’s society because it will show the reader that we worship a Living God who walks and talks with us in our journey of life and how He comes to the rescue of people who love Him and have faith in Him.”
