Dunlop, the leading international sport equipment and apparel brand, has today announced the release of a new range of fishing equipment.

The range, available from SportsDirect.com, will feature a collection aimed at the beginner or casual angler with a selection of fishing tackle.

The sports brand will be producing a variety of goods ranging from rods, reels, luggage, landing and keep nets, bite alarms, tackle boxes and accessories.

The extensive rod collection features a 9-foot telescopic spinning rod, 10-foot feeder rod, 12-foot carp rod and a pier rod. Amongst other the reel collection offers a freespin reel, spinning reel and a sea fishing reel.

The collection is launched ahead of the 2012 National Fishing Month which runs between 20th July and 27th August. The annual convention is designed to be a celebration for fishing and aims to encourage people from different social or cultural backgrounds to have a go at the sport.

Coaches from around the UK will be available at certain tariff free waters to help, demonstrate and advise anglers from beginners to experts alike. Hopefully once people have had a go they will be ‘hooked!’

Nick Fox, Dunlop Product Manager said: “We are extremely excited and encouraged by the response we’ve had to the Dunlop fishing Tackle range. Later this year we’re also excited to announce the release of a Biomimetic range. Fishing is an ever increasing sport and we hope that our range will give a helping hand to those thinking about trying it out.”
