Brookfield Homes Reports 21 Sales in July, 55 Percent Sales Increase YTD Over Last Year

The pace of sales throughout 2012 has been an encouraging sign, not just for us but for the overall San Diego market.

Brookfield Homes San Diego continues to report strong sales with 21 sales in July, and 55 percent more sales year-to-date compared to the same period in 2011. As of July 31, the award-winning homebuilder recorded 112 home sales compared to 72 a year ago.

“The pace of sales throughout 2012 has been an encouraging sign, not just for us but for the overall San Diego market,” said Debby King, director of marketing for Brookfield Homes.

Brookfield Homes’ newest community, which opened in March, is Sago at The Foothills in Carlsbad. King noted that Sago offers some of the most affordably priced new homes in Carlsbad, and has had 22 home sales in just over four months. Located off of Cannon Road just east of El Camino Real, the three- and four-bedroom homes start at $462,900.

Among Brookfield’s other best-selling communities are Rockrose at The Foothills in Carlsbad and Serenity at Stonebridge Estates east of Scripps Ranch in San Diego.

Rockrose offers homes ranging from approximately 2,116 to 3,167 square feet with three to four bedrooms and 2 to 4.5 bathrooms. SDG&E has identified Rockrose as some of the most energy efficient new homes in Carlsbad. Homes are currently priced from $615,900.

Serenity offers spacious, executive-style residences featuring three distinct two-story floor plans ranging from 4,040 to 4,759 square feet with five or six bedrooms and 4.5 baths, and up to a four-car garage. Homes are priced currently from $869,000.

Also in July, the builder sold out at communities Mahogany at Old Creek Ranch in San Marcos, and Trellis and Cordova at Windingwalk in Chula Vista.

“We are finding buyers who want to get into the market now are looking for that traditional combination of location and price,” added King. “They also seem to be more selective in seeking out energy-efficient features and design flexibility, two points that Brookfield has built into our homes.”
