Cinsay’s newest social video commerce feature enables merchants the ability to include YouTube videos directly inside their Smart Store™ playlists. The New tool saves users publishing time and allows faster access to more ‘stream-ready’ content.

In June alone, over 180 million Americans viewed a staggering 33 billion videos online

Cinsay, a leader in social video commerce technology, has announced today the addition of YouTube video feeds for the Smart Store™ technology platform. Many Cinsay merchants have previously uploaded their content to YouTube for hosting and streaming, the ability to simply take the ‘share link’ embed code from the YouTube page and import it to Smart Stores will save users time as they create and add new content to their media library. The YouTube content can also be mixed with videos directly uploaded to Cinsay’s CMS as well.

Video views are increasing and driving higher conversions

According to comScore, as of March 2012, Internet users watched over 21 hours of video per month. And the growth for online video is growing rapidly. In June alone, over 180 million Americans viewed a staggering 33 billion videos online. Much of that video came from YouTube. Quant Cast and Alexa reported in August 2012, YouTube’s audience to be over 450 million viewers. “The additional access to YouTube’s content enables our users to easily post more content and quickly associate it with goods and services in their merchant account thus giving them the opportunity to increase their overall sales”, said Christian Briggs, CEO and Founder of Cinsay. “Cinsay’s conversion rate of approximately 9% makes our Smart Store technology the top choice for anyone’s ecommerce or lead generation solution”, he concluded.

The YouTube feature enhancement accompanies other recent Smart Store releases including; the ability for merchants to use PayPal as a payment alternative, the option to use Facebook for account sign-in, the free Cinsay iPhone app for merchants and the Smartphone video player for consumers to view and shop in the mobile Smart Store. Instructions on how to add YouTube videos to Smart Stores are featured on Cinsay’s customer service page where users will also find tips on how to optimize video and eCommerce for their specific business.
