Los Angeles, California – Believing that education is one of the most powerful means of alleviating poverty, Michael Omidi, MD and Julian Omidi, through their charity No More Poverty (nmp.org) are pleased to introduce a new 5-5-5 Back-to-School promotion. On the 5th day of August, the brothers initiated a contest where five students will be selected to receive $500 to help pay for books, tuition, and other education expenses. Interested parties can submit a 500 words (or less) description of how the $500 will make a difference in their educational pursuits and by extension their life. Submissions are accepted through the No More Poverty’s Facebook page –please make sure to “like” the charity while you’re there. The deadline for submissions is August 15, with winners to be announced on Facebook/nmp.org Monday, August 20.

Get all the education you can, but then, by God, do something … make it happen.” Michael Omidi, No More Poverty's co-founder, says “My brother and I want to help those who are already trying to help themselves and improve their lives by means of an education.
