As part of a sports media celebration honoring the most outstanding work in the industry, Sunrise Road Media ( is proud to announce that their agency has been named a finalist for Cynopsis Sports Media Awards for their JukinVideo Launch Campaign. The winners will be announced this Thurs, August 9, 2012, at The Harvard Club of New York City. Based on experience managing million dollar+ integrated marketing campaigns at Fox Interactive Media/MySpace, Sunrise Road Media puts together similar campaigns for brands for much less.

Sunrise Road Media (engagement marketing agency) announces their launch campaign for JukinVideo (viral video licensing platform) has been named a finalist in the Cynopsis Sports Media Awards in the Marketing Initiative category. The Cynopsis Sports Awards honor the most outstanding work in the sports industry over the past year, and the categories include television, digital, marketing and more.

CEO/Founder Liz H Kelly shared, “We’re honored to be in the same category as Turner Sports’ NCAA March Madness on Demand Pushdowns and CraveOnline for Evolve Media Corp. - EA MMA Fighter Exchange.” With less than 6 weeks to pull off this launch campaign, Sunrise Road Media rallied by partnering with JukinVideo’s team to do a press release, media coverage, launch video, launch party, website launch, social media marketing plus cause marketing to benefit the Rob Dyrdek Foundation. Key digital media influencers were also invited as VIPs to the launch party and tweeted the news about the new viral video site.

As a way to give back to the sports community, a cause marketing element was added to support Rob Dyrdek’s Foundation ( This foundation builds skate parks and programs to create healthy communities by promoting and providing the inherent benefits of skateboarding to all parts of society. A Live Twitter Auction and Silent Auction were held at the Launch Party to raise funds for this foundation. All proceeds from this auction benefited the Rob Dyrdek Foundation, and JukinVideo even made a contribution for every tweet that included #JukinVideoLaunch and @JukinVideo.

JukinVideo was behind the 2011 smash viral video Mountain Biker Gets Taken Out by BUCK This sports clip video has received over 14 million views, 29,000+ Likes, and 15,900+ Comments. JukinVideo placed the clip on The Today Show, ESPN, Yahoo! News home page, and BBC, among other outlets.

During this awards breakfast, Cynopsis will also honor three executives who changed the way their sports organizations connect with fans around the country. David Hill, Chairman and CEO of FOX Sports Media Group, will receive the Legacy Award for his outstanding management of the FOX Sports platforms and brands; Golf Channel President Mike McCarley will receive the Award of Distinction as Sports Network Executive of the Year; and Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott will be the first winner of the Vision Award, which honors successful strategy from an executive at a sports league. In recognition of this achievement, each finalist will receive either a first-place award or an honorable mention award at the Cynopsis Sports Media Awards Breakfast.
