Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) August 08, 2012
Randy McCutcheon, whose ministry led him to create two churches in the Valley during the past 20 years, says he had a calling to create a third, this time in northeast Phoenix.
The non-denominational Spirit of Faith Family Church began May 6 and meets at 10:30 a.m. Sundays at the Courtyard Marriot at 17010 N. Scottsdale Road.
McCutcheon, 53, said the new church offers "an inviting place to receive encouragement, develop faith and a deeper relationship with God."
About a dozen people came to the first service, the pastor said.
McCutcheon and his wife, Nancy, attended the Oklahoma-based Rhema Bible Training Center and were ordained. He moved to the Valley in 1992 and started the House of Prayer Family Church in Scottsdale, where he served there for seven years.
After retuning in 2002, he created Destiny Family Church in Cave Creek, where he served until 2005. He said he was called to Texas to help a church after its pastor died in a motorcycle accident.
"We came back (to Arizona) in 2006," Randy said. "Between now and then, we've just been praying and we just felt it was time for us to start a new church."
