Local Restaurant Group BRG Announces The Third Partnership in Their “Bros Give Back” Program at their Restaurant Brick+Mortar– HYPE

Throughout the month of August, BRG’s Brick+Mortar will donate a percentage of sales to HYPE

Up-and-coming Los Angeles restaurant group, Brosephs Restaurant Group (BRG), has teamed up with a new organization, HYPE, for the third month of their summer charitable partnerships through their “Bros Give Back” program. Helping Young People Excel (HYPE) is a non-profit organization that provides talented low-income students in Los Angeles with the guidance and resources to qualify for admission at elite college-prep schools.

HYPE continues to support students after they are placed in these top prep-schools by providing them with the tools and skills to succeed not only in high school, but also in college and beyond. This summer, students have been participating in Summer Prep Excursions, visiting museums and touring schools and important Los Angeles sites. The primary objective of Summer Prep is to expose the students to experiences that will help them learn how to better navigate middle and upper class social norms and build cultural capital. The larger goal is to place the students in environments outside of their comfort zone in order to help them learn to effectively assimilate to new and different experiences.

Throughout the month of August, BRG will donate a percentage of sales at Brick+Mortar to HYPE. A special event will take place on August 22nd in which 10% of each sale will be added to the total donation. Throughout the day a book and school supplies drive will be taking place, as well as a happy hour from 4-7pm that will involve school trivia and chances to win great prizes in a raffle.

This August BRG will welcome their third and fourth locations, which will soon be contributing to the “Bros Give Back” program. Both locations will be within the gastronomically renowned city of West Hollywood: Smoke, a traditional American steakhouse with California-inspired fine dining dishes, opens in early August. Smoke will be quickly followed by Fatty’s Public House, a Contemporary American restaurant and bar that pays tribute to the late owner of the property, Fatty Arbuckle, which opens in late August.
