Patent Recognizes KwikTag Innovation in Microsoft Dynamics Embedded Client Document Capture and Retrieval.

The United States Patent Office recently awarded ImageTag, Inc. with its eighth registered patent covering inventions in the KwikTag transactional content management product, the company announced today. KwikTag combines paper and electronic document imaging, content-based search and retrieval with business process management routing and approval workflow and multi-document case management. KwikTag is productively integrated in the Microsoft Dynamics product line, and can be integrated with virtually any business system to make content management available in the context of business processes. The KwikTag product line also includes KwikApps™, pre-configured business applications delivering fast implementation and immediate value for document-intensive processes, such as procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and human resources.

“ImageTag was the first document management product to offer access seamlessly integrated into the Microsoft Dynamics GP, NAV and AX product lines,” said Randy Eckel, CEO of ImageTag, “and this eighth patent confirms the initiation and innovation of that process resulted from the intellectual prowess and experience of ImageTag.”

ImageTag patents related to the KwikTag document management platform and applications include various apparatus and methods for digitally filing and retrieving documents, dynamically routing documents using control documents and data streams, managing paper-based documents and digital images simultaneously, optimizing facsimile transmissions, creating fax cover sheets containing dynamic and static content zones, and automating the capture of document metadata and images from within Microsoft Dynamics ERP screens. Covering the spectrum of electronic tagging to the managing of physical sheets of paper, ImageTag even invented and patented an efficient and one-handed label dispenser for affixing KwikTag barcode labels, or “tags” as they are affectionately known, on the first page of a document.

Randy Eckel, further stated, “We are continuing to develop new and visionary ways to solve business problems for companies with document-driven processes, which essentially covers every company, everywhere. Our focus and understanding of ERP software, and Microsoft Dynamics processes in particular, is reinforced by this latest patent. Our competitors’ claims of tight integration with Dynamics are empty rhetoric, and may be signals for us to investigate potential violations of our patents.”
