So many professionals, including managers, HR directors, trainers and course developers want a good platform...this conference is designed from the ground up to be that platform. -- Ken Spero, Nexlearn

The 2nd Annual Immersive Learning Conference and Symposium will be held January 15-17, 2013 at the Menger Hotel in San Antonio, TX.
Drawing on the success of its inaugural event, Nexlern is committed to providing more learning sessions, speakers and professional development opportunities for the 2013 Immersive Learning University Conference and Symposium. The two-day main conference is designed to help participants learn about immersive learning at several levels—from practical, nuts-and-bolts wisdom about how to design and deliver simulations and other immersive learning to scientific research-based conceptual wisdom on immersive-learning design to ideas about how to manage the ethics of immersive learning.
According to Dennis Rees, Nexlearn President, “The positive feedback about the inaugural conference has been great. We learned what aspects of the conference participants liked best, and which areas they would like us to expand. We’ve harnessed that momentum to make the 2013 ILU Conference an event e-Learning professionals will find engaging, informative and relevant.”
The Immersive Learning University Conference will once again include workshops exploring new and innovative applications for Immersive Learning and Simulations from some of the most experienced practitioners in the field, including features and functions discussions for those interested in NexLearn’s simulation authoring and implementation technologies. The Conference will also feature case studies, best practices, peer discussions, technology Q & A sessions, future solutions discussions with NexLearn product managers, and networking opportunities.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Julie Dirksen—instructional designer, speaker, and author of Design for How People Learn (New Riders, 2011). The title of her presentation is “What does ‘Learn from Experience’ really mean?”
“So many professionals, including managers, HR directors, trainers, and course developers want a good platform to learn and exchange ideas about immersive learning. This conference is designed from the ground up to be that platform for industry professionals,” said Ken Spero, NexLearn Executive Director for the Immersive Learning University and conference organizer.
