CobraHead LLC of Cambridge, Wisconsin is pleased to announce an agreement with Gulland Forge of Pittsboro, NC to market and sell Gulland Forge Broadforks. The broadfork is available at http://www.cobraheadllc.com/product_info.php?products_id=61
Gulland Forge Broadforks are designed and hand manufactured by blacksmith Larry Cooper. CobraHead selected Gulland Forge Broadforks for the superiority of their design and quality of workmanship.
A broadfork, sometimes called a U-bar, is a tool used in mature soils and garden beds. The broadfork is used to loosen soil to prepare for planting or for adding soil amendments such as compost, fertilizer or mulches. It will open and loosen soil while minimizing damage to its living strata of flora and fauna that provide the nutrients for the garden bed. The broadfork is also useful for harvesting potatoes, beets, carrots, etc.
The Gulland Forge Broadfork has significant ease of use and workmanship quality advantages over other broadforks being marketed. Noel Valdes, the owner of CobraHead, states, "We are really pleased to be able to offer Larry Cooper's Gulland Forge Broadfork as part of our product line. I have tested numerous broadforks and I'm convinced this is the best broadfork available. I use it in my garden and I love it."
The five-tined fork has a penetration depth of 9". The tool is 17.5" wide across the tines. The 48" long handles are ash wood. The tool weighs just over 14 lbs.
The Gulland Forge Broadfork is available for purchase at http://www.cobrahead.com website for $210 including shipping within the continental US. Contact CobraHead for shipping outside the continental US.
