VMware’s Global Service Provider Partner of the Year enjoys another significant revenue increase

– iland™, the global cloud infrastructure provider and VMware® Service Provider Partner of the Year Global and Americas, today announced significant year-on-year cloud revenue growth of over 100% for the first half of 2012. As momentum increases for organizations moving their applications to a cloud-based platform, iland is positioned to assist with a cost-effective, established and secure cloud infrastructure that allows customers to transfer workloads quickly and easily between their private clouds and iland’s public cloud. Customers typically use iland’s cloud infrastructure for enterprise production, testing and development, disaster recovery and SaaS requirements.

New iland customer, Mobile Accord is a Colorado-based mobile platform company that specializes in mobile polling, SMS fundraising and engagement; and custom mobile application development. The company is using iland’s cloud platform for production. Nick Becker, CTO at Mobile Accord stated, “We selected iland as our cloud provider because of the competitive pricing the company offered, its industry leading cloud Infrastructure-as-as-Service built on VMware’s virtualization platform, and the ability to support our custom network requirements.”

Carceron is an outsourced IT management company that also provides managed IT services such as helpdesk, systems monitoring and other services to small and medium sized businesses. The Atlanta-based managed service provider recently selected iland Cloud Services to replace its incumbent cloud provider. Marcus Bearden, VP of Technology commented, “We needed a cloud infrastructure provider that could, in addition to meeting our internal requirements, scale and innovate as our clients' needs grew and changed. iland was selected because its VMware® vCloud powered service is unparalleled to other cloud providers we utilized. Since iland’s solution is highly cost-effective and simple to use it also reduced our costs and overhead, allowing us to provide improved and lower-cost cloud services to our clients.”

Houston-based Gulf Coast Community Service Association (GCCSA) is a private, nonprofit organization that provides Head Start and Early Head Start services as well as many Community Services, including Housing Counselling, Rental/Mortgage Assistance, Furniture Voucher Program, Food Pantry, Transportation Assistance and more to thousands of low-income Houston area residents annually. GCCSA selected iland as an integral part of its cloud disaster recovery plan. Yahya Tahvilzadeh, Network Support Specialist at GCCSA commented, “We chose iland because it is one of the VMware vCloud service providers and supports Veeam backup replication, which is what we were looking for.”

Scott Sparvero, CEO of iland is delighted with the company’s half year results. “We are seeing significant numbers of companies wanting to take advantage of the cost savings the iland cloud affords them along with the superior customer service and implementation processes we offer. We continue to listen to and work closely with our partners and customers to improve the infrastructure services we provide and ensure we consistently meet their requirements in the future. We’re looking forward to seeing their success as well as continuing our impetus for the remainder of 2012.”
