"Some days I feel like I'm almost done, but then I look at other riders with Argentina stickers on their bikes and think 'I can handle another 8,000 miles of this, right?'"

Following the completion of his first feature length independent film, STRINGS, writer/director Mark Dennis set off on a motorcycle trip to Mexico to draft his next screenplay. After two weeks on the road, Mark reached Playa Del Carmen, Mexico and completed a first draft of an untitled horror thriller. With no set plans back home, Mark continued further south into Belize, Guatemala, and El Salvador continuing further drafts while collaborating via email and Facebook with producing/directing partner Ben Foster.

"No matter how much you read about trips like this, you're never really prepared," Mark wrote in a recent Facebook post. The first week of July saw Mark hopping a ride on a sailboat around the infamous Darien Gap, a thin roadless piece of land connecting Central and South America, where he and his motorcycle arrived in Cartagena, Colombia.

"People are always asking 'how much further?' but I really don't have an answer. Some days I feel like I'm almost done, but then I look at other riders with Argentina stickers on their bikes and think 'I can handle another 8,000 miles of this, right?'"

Mark continues to write during downtime while his producing partner runs their production company, Pad Thai Pictures, in Los Angeles.
