About the Author
Chantelle Bagus was born in October 4, 1989 in Ndola Zambia. At the age of seven she wrote her first poem, "Bully me not" for a school project about bullying. When she was eleven Bagus' mother brought her and her younger brother to the United States in search for a better life. While in middle school she discovered that her writing skills went beyond the one poem that she wrote. She began to write short stories and allowed an audience of friends, teachers, and strangers to read her work and as she got positive results she began to take it a step further by writing plays and poems for her drama class. Another interest came up as she discovered she could act. She auditioned for several auditions using her own dramatic dialogues. Bagus also began to enter poetry contests and in 2006 she won the Internatinal Library of Poets for her poem "Brown Sugar." She began to work on her book Pain and Pleasure in 2007 and since then has written numerous short stories and plays.
She is currently working on her second book Winter's Pain and currently resides in Atlanta Georgia.
