We are all storytellers, and we all learn through our own experience and hearing of the experiences of others
MELBOURNE, Australia (PRWEB) August 08, 2012
In her new autobiography On the Road to Pa’a: On the Road to a Strong and Solid Foundation (published by Balboa Press), author JoAnna Goldman walks readers along her path toward enlightenment, recalling how she discovered happiness and love.
At its heart, On the Road to Pa’a is about, Goldman says, “one woman’s experience of self discovery. The lessons learned. The pain felt. The joy discovered. The love uncovered. The truth found.”
Goldman fills her book with her own stories of discovering happiness to carry readers through what she calls the three stages of existence: ignorance, awareness and enlightenment. She describes the experience of first realizing those stages, and then traveling between them, as standing on the banks of a raging river. People, she says, begin on the banks, in the stage of ignorance. It is only once they are aware of the river – when they have entered the stage of awareness – that they must make the decision.
Will they take the safe path, and remain aware of enlightenment but not pursue it? Or, will they embrace the danger, embrace the journey, and cross the raging river in pursuit of the enlightenment on the other side?
“We are all storytellers, and we all learn through our own experience and hearing of the experiences of others,” Goldman says. “Today there is a growing contingent in society who are seeking the keys to joy and love in their own life experience. Reading of how another has followed a pathway is a first step to being able to begin on your own.”
