The company-wide goal of Home Care Assistance is to help improve our clients' quality of life and to help them stay as independent for as long as possible in their own homes.

Home Care Assistance, the nation's leading provider of in-home care for seniors, is excited to announce the opening of its new Scottsdale location. The new office is relocating to 9301 East Shea Boulevard, Suite 112, Scottsdale, across the street from the Scottsdale Healthcare Shea Medical Center and within the Mercado del Rancho Center. A Grand Opening of the Scottsdale office will take place on Friday, August 10, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Randall Holmgren, an estate planning attorney with 30 years of experience, will be available at the event to answer any questions pertaining to HIPAA and advance medical directives.

9 out of 10 seniors have a stated preference to remain at home rather than move to a residential facility. Home Care Assistance expertly matches caregivers with clients to enable older adults to live happier, healthier lives at home. Services Home Care Assistance provides include:

  •     Hourly and live-in care
  •     Cooking and light housekeeping
  •     Laundry and change of bed linens
  •     Grocery shopping and errands
  •     Companionship and range of motion exercise
  •     Bathing, dressing and grooming assistance
  •     Transportation to doctor appointments, supermarket, pharmacy
  •     Assisting with walking and transfer from bed to wheelchair
  •     Status reporting to family
  •     Medication reminders

“The company-wide goal of Home Care Assistance is to help improve our clients' quality of life and to help them stay as independent for as long as possible in their own homes,” said Ted Holmgren, Chief Operating Officer of Home Care Assistance of Scottsdale. “Our office is no exception. We hire exceptional caregivers, each of whom has undergone a strict screening process and extensive background checks. We are on call 24/7 and provide regular status updates to family members."

Most unique to Home Care Assistance’s brand of senior care is the company’s proprietary training program known as The Balanced Care Method. “This proprietary program was developed after an extensive study of centenarians in Okinawa, Japan,” explains Holmgren. “Scientists studied factors that enabled Okinawan seniors to experience high-quality lives well into their 90s and beyond. Five key lifestyle factors contribute to their health and longevity: healthy diet, physical activity, mental stimulation, social ties and a sense of calm and purpose.” Each Home Care Assistance caregiver receives ongoing training and resources to effectively provide Balanced Care to clients, thus contributing to the Company's mission to change the way the world ages.
