World-renowned Boston plastic surgeon Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel appeared on the Fox 25 morning news to discuss facial appearance and what does and does not work to make individuals appear younger and look their best. Dr. Spiegel addressed several issues, from facial yoga to celebrity plastic surgery rumors. He offered sound advice to women and men who want to put their best face forward. When asked whether facial yoga or facial exercises work to tone facial and neck muscles, Dr. Spiegel revealed that unfortunately, those things do not work to make individuals look better or younger. When it comes to plastic surgery, he says individuals can benefit from procedures if they don’t take it too far.
“Moderation is the key,” Dr. Spiegel says. “Going overboard is what makes you look bad. It’s the same with anything. A little bit of whip cream on your hot chocolate is good, while pitchers of it is really overdoing it.”
The interviewer also asked Dr. Spiegel for his best beauty tip; what people can do without spending a ton of money and that doesn’t take up a lot of time. He advises individuals to wear sunscreen every day, even when it’s not sunny out. He also recommends that individuals visit a professional to see what they can do to look their best. While many men and women don’t particularly care for the idea of having plastic surgery, Dr. Spiegel says procedures like Botox are fast and demand no “down time,” and can really help individuals look younger and fresher.
