With more than 650,000 apps in Apple's AppStore it's becoming increasingly difficult for application developers to reach a target audience. RavePoints solves this problem by allowing consumers to promote applications using social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and more.
"We're excited to offer an alternative to traditional advertising channels. Publishers can utilize our user base to promote their apps in an effective and affordable way," says CEO, Aurelius Prochazka. "Our users earn rewards from participating publishers for successfully driving new customers towards their apps, and the new customers also share in the rewards. It's a win-win-win."
The RavePoints service was designed by developers for developers and unlike some cross-marketing platforms, does not require the incorporating additional code in published apps. Instead, installation metrics are tracked from AppStore purchase reports. Although click-through rates are tracked, publishers pay only for successful conversions. This creates a predictable and cost-effective approach to marketing for large publishers and independent developers alike.
Members earn rewards for successful referrals in the form of RavePoints- a virtual currency which can be redeemed for gift cards from popular retailers such as iTunes, Amazon, BestBuy, and others. The RavePoints platform provides quick and easy creation of RaveCodes which are unique identifiers that link the application referral to the member's account. Members are encouraged to share RaveCodes with their friends who can also earn rewards of their own.
Currently in Beta for iPhone and iPad applications, RaveFront plans to offer rewards for Android apps on Google Play, in Q4 2012.
RaveFront LLC was founded by a team of experienced professionals with backgrounds in mobile application development, social networking applications, and e-commerce. The company is an angel-funded startup based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
