DailyDAC Launches Deal-Aggregation Platform for Private Equity

DailyDAC, LLC, launched a new service last month designed to help financial buyers of companies find potential acquisition targets. DailyDAC’s “Mature Deal Database powered by CapTarget” is the second service offering of Chicago-based DailyDAC.

DailyDAC’s Mature Deal Database, provided in conjunction with San Diego-based CapTarget, LLC, curates deal opportunities involving companies with positive EBITDA and which are already operating at scale or are readily scalable.

“PE sponsors need deal flow, but getting it can be expensive and time-consuming because the investment banking community that is the source of these deals has traditionally been hesitant to share their deals with any sort of aggregator,” said Diana Casas, Operations Director for DailyDAC. "By leveraging off of deep relationships with intermediaries and focusing strictly on deals that are of likely interest to private equity, DailyDAC and CapTarget have been able to build a portal that saves sponsors time and money.”

While there are other companies that aggregate businesses for sale, they tend to be business brokerage websites that list very small businesses that are of no interest to the private equity community. DailyDAC’s deal databases, in contrast, are highly focused, “extolling quality over quantity and favoring inclusion of deals that are not being widely marketed elsewhere,” according to Casas.

DailyDAC launched its first service offering, “Opportunistic Deal Database,” in Spring 2011. The Opportunistic Deal Database offers subscribers a curation of companies that have urgent needs to enter into a sale or financing transaction (due to financial or operational distress) or assets that are being sold by such companies or their lenders.
