We developed ActivityTools in order to simplify the handling of activities and e-mails within MS CRM. The product offers the possibility to display activities and e-mails in various Outlook-similar views.

MSCRM-ADDONS.COM, a software company developing and distributing addons for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, now offers an improved version of its ActivityTools addon. The new version supports additional Outlook-similar displaying options of activities and e-mails within MS CRM and therefore enables users to handle them more efficiently.

The addon provides the Outlook-similar visualisation in various views, namely in the e-mail preview, in the activity preview and in the My Activities view. The e-mail preview shows all e-mails related to an activity-enabled CRM entity (e.g. to a contact, a lead, etc.). The visualisation is similar to Outlook showing a list of all e-mails on the left side and a preview pane on the right side. Users can see the e-mail's content and can open the attachments without the need to open the e-mails explicitly. This view furthermore offers the option to reply to e-mails, to forward e-mails, to create a new e-mail, etc. All other views also provide this Outlook-similar visualisation. Within the activity view, all kinds of activities related to a CRM record (e.g. to contacts, leads, etc.) are displayed. The My Activities view shows all activities owned by a CRM user.

Besides these standard views and functionalities, ActivityTools now provides new functions as it offers the possibility to display e-mails and activities in form of a list and a preview pane also within the standard CRM activity view, the standard CRM queue view and within the CRM Dashboard area.

Further product features are the search and the grouping option (e.g. group by date, subject, regarding, etc.) provided within the activity preview, the e-mail preview and the My Activities view. Additionally, the addon offers several e-mail-related functionalities, such as the possibility to create and import e-mails signatures via a WYSIWYG editor, to set default e-mail signatures and to define default senders.

“We developed ActivityTools in order to simplify the handling of activities and e-mails within MS CRM. A lot of users deal with Outlook in their daily business lives. They are used to it and therefore have no problems to apply these procedures within MS CRM. The use of the addon is hence very intuitive and helps to make daily business processes more efficient,” says Christian Ternek, Product Manager of MSCRM-ADDONS.COM.
