Neighborhoodies Partners with Smallknot for Brooklyn Based Social Initiative.

Neighborhoodies is a DUMBO, Brooklyn based establishment that produces customized hoodies and apparel with your own personal badge. The company has come a long way since it first opened its doors way back in 2002. What started as a way for New Yorkers to represent their neighborhood has become a global phenomenon. Today the company sells custom-designed and Brooklyn-made apparel to customers all over the world.

To celebrate it’s 10th Anniversary, and give back to the community that helped it get here, Neighborhoodies is releasing a new line of cashmere hoodies made in Brooklyn. And they are offering single mothers in Brooklyn an opportunity to get involved.

According to Neighborhoodies owner Lori Fields, "Our new line is not only the most luxurious hoodie around. At a time when employment opportunities are few and far between, it will also be produced in partnership with a Brooklyn based factory that trains and employs single mothers.”

The all-new collection of hoodies will be made from super-soft, ultra-comfortable and high-quality cashmere blend. Each will have the details you want in a premium hoodie; triple-stitched seams sewn with high tensile strength thread, reinforced pocket, inside stash pocket and thumbholes.

Neighborhoodies has been hard at work designing the new line, but needs to buy fabric before the sewing can begin. To raise the capital needed to buy fabric, the team has partnered with Smallknot.com a community based crowd funding website. SmallKnot is commited to local and homegrown businesses like Neighbourhoodies.

Early investors in Neighborhoodies’ new line are being offered some unique and exciting rewards. Ranging from amazing discounts to limited edition art, the rewards are not just warm and cozy; they’re also very cool.
