St. Charles, MO (PRWEB) August 09, 2012
Nationally acclaimed bereavement author, Dr. Bill Hoy will present two workshops for Clergy in the St. Charles County and St. Louis areas. Hosted by Baue Funeral Homes, Crematory & Cemetery, these complimentary seminars will focus on Bereavement Ministry.
The first workshop, on August 28th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm, is intended for Lay Volunteers and will teach participants to build their congregation’s bereavement ministry. Working in the congregation’s bereavement ministry can be a rewarding task, and becomes even more rewarding when the vision is implemented. Dr. Hoy’s simple model of the grief process helps Lay Volunteers to understand and teach other ministers how to help the bereaved.
The second session, on August 29th from 8:00am - 10:00am, is intended for Clergy and focuses on making bereavement ministry more meaningful. These leaders already provide an important ministry to grieving families so this workshop is designed to review the process and includes the theological perspective on ministry through the funeral.
These two workshops will be held at The Columns Banquet Center in St. Charles. The second workshop will include breakfast; seating for both sessions is limited as this is a complimentary program. Register online at baue.com or call 636-328-0878.
