New Blackwing Eraser Colors Introduced by Palomino

Palomino has introduced three new colors in its line of extendable replacement erasers for their iconic Blackwing pencils. Orange, green and blue will join the black, white and traditional pink colors currently available.

“Blackwing users are often creative people, and we want them to be able to express that creativity,” said company President Charles Berolzheimer, a sixth generation pencileer. “This gives them more ways to add their own imaginative touch and ‘hack’ their Blackwing pencils.”

The Eberhard Faber Blackwing 602, the pencil favored by John Steinbeck and Chuck Jones among others, originally featured an extendable and replaceable pink eraser. When Palomino revived the Blackwing brand in 2010, it released two versions, one with a white eraser and one with a black eraser. They also released a line of pink erasers for the traditionalists. Black, white and pink were the only options for Blackwing users looking to personalize their pencils until the release of these three new colors.

The new Blackwing replacement erasers are currently available for sale on Pencils.com and will soon be available through Palomino's growing retail network.
