INFINITT Healthcare Achieves CMMI Level 3 - The first Approval in the Medical Software Industry in Korea

INFINITT Healthcare, a leading developer of image and information management technologies for healthcare, announced on August 9, 2012 that it has been officially assessed and achieved certification to the Level 3 of the international project maturity model, CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration).

INFINITT Healthcare, a leading developer of image and information management technologies for healthcare, announced on August 9, 2012 that it has been officially assessed and achieved certification to the Level 3 of the international project maturity model, CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration). This appraisal was undertaken by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) of the Carnegie Mellon University and INFINITT Healthcare is the first healthcare IT enterprise in Korea to have been approved and awarded this globally recognized certification.

CMMI of Carnegie Mellon SEI is a process improvement approach for growing organizations. It thoroughly evaluates a project, a division, or an entire organization based on five maturity levels and awards a level rating. Adherence to CMMI model is also currently used as an important criterion for commercial bidding of domestic and international business.

To meet CMMI’s high evaluation standards, INFINITT Healthcare has established SEPG (System Engineering Process Group) to consistently research and develop the products. By focusing on product lifecycle delivery and services based on CMMI Best Practices, from conception through delivery and maintenance, INFINITT Healthcare continues to develop quality products and services to meet the needs of customers and end users

The examiner who appraised the quality level of INFINITT products said, “I strictly judged if INFINITT Healthcare’s products satisfy the worldwide industry standards or not, and can confirm that INFINITT sets a good example to CMMI adherence amongst medical companies. After the evaluation, I can assure INFINITT can be a global leading enterprise through continuous improvement.”
