Chicago, IL (PR Web) August 9, 2012 - Sitterworks.com is a new website that matches parents with the right sitters and nannies for their families. With comprehensive caregiver questionnaires, multiple background check options and a local online community—Sitterworks.com helps parents save time and money while finding trusted and affordable childcare.
The site was conceived, developed and funded by two Chicago-based moms and entrepreneurs wanting to make finding trusted childcare easier. Launched in Chicago this July, Sitterworks.com registered nearly 1,000 users in its first month.
Co-founders Kimberly Walker and Elizabeth Patano-Jaworek, both recruiters, used their professional backgrounds to develop a caregiver questionnaire that has over 60 different questions related to childcare. “When I used other online care sites, I would get hundreds of applicants,” Walker said. “Being able to review a caregiver’s answers to specific questions in advance would have saved me a lot of time in determining who to interview.”
An additional unique feature is Sitterworks Central, a local online community for parents and sitters to start discussions, set up playgroups, trade or borrow kid’s stuff and find local activities. “We wanted Sitterworks to be a one-stop place for making parents busy lives, easier,” Patano-Jaworek said. “You can find a sitter and set up a carpool with your neighbor all in one place.”
Parents can learn more and register at Sitterworks.com.
Sitterworks is the first completely free site for both parents and sitters with no monthly subscriptions or hidden fees. With multiple background checks and comprehensive caregiver questionnaires, Sitterworks.com saves parents time and money in finding trusted childcare.
