Organizers anticipate hundreds of attendees to converge when the Summer Antique Postcard & Paper Americana Show and Sale gets underway in Springfield, Missouri, Friday and Saturday, August 24-25.
"This summer we have two of the nationally known western states dealers attending, Dennis Goreham from Utah, and Randy Birndorf of Colorado,” said Jim Taylor, show organizer and owner of Courthouse Square Antique Postcards. “That always promises great new material for area collectors and archivists.
“In addition we have dealers from Texas, Missouri, Kansas and Illinois bringing lots of postcards, photos and other historical and collectible paper,” he said. “There should be something for everyone."
The Summer Antique Postcard and Paper Americana show involves buyers and sellers bringing nearly a million antique postcards for sale, as well as buying collections and accumulations. Buyers are providing free appraisals of most all vintage postcards, old photographs, and paper ephemera as time allows.
