Mike Schmidtmann, frequent speaker on sales and recruiting topics and the current President of the National Speakers Association, DC Chapter, will present “Winning Million Dollar Accounts: The Surprising Keys to Landing Large Customers” Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at the Gannett/USA Today Building. The program features the August installment of the Institute for Excellence in Sales & Business Development's (IES&BD) monthly sales excellence program.

The program will be held at the USA Today/Gannett Building, 7950 Jones Branch Drive, McLean, VA 22108. It will begin at 7:30am with networking and breakfast. The speaker will start at 8:15am. The workshop will run until 10:30am. Registration for the program is available here.

Schmidtmann said that he will share the secrets of landing the “whales” at his workshop and will give attendees critical information on how to target them while accelerating their selling processes.

"It only takes a few top customers to drive the majority of your sales and profits. Rather than wasting time on small-change customers and opportunities, why not target the really valuable prospects- the ones who can drive millions in sales year after year?,” he said.

Schmidtmann said that his program will appeal to any new or seasoned sales executives, business owners, and anyone tasked with driving revenue. This includes service professionals such as accounts, attorneys, consultants and IT professionals.

The program is hosted by the IES&BD, which serves as the center of actionable best practices, insights, thought leadership, and recognition that enable organizations to achieve high performance in the area of Sales & Business Development. The IES&BD produces regular educational and networking programs for sales and business development professionals. In the past year, the IES&BD presented programs featuring Neil Rackham, Rob Jolles, Todd Cohen, and Ian Altman.

"Our attendees will get significant value out of what Mike Schmidtmann will present at this month's program," said Fred Diamond, President of DIAMOND Strategic Marketing and Co-Founder of the IES&BD. "Successful sales professionals are always looking to improve their access to top decision makers and ways to expand their large account opportunities. They will definitely get that at this month’s program.”
