First Class Moving Systems Performs Relocation for Republican National Convention

During the Republican National Convention, First Class Moving Systems will be providing the moving and storage services needed to host the convention at the Forum. The high-end furniture and decorations will be moved out of the luxury suites and into their state-of-the-art storage facility.

As the Republican National Convention gets underway, First Class Moving Systems will be providing the moving and storage services. The convention, hosted at the Forum, requires massive amount of large, high-value furniture to be moved and stored while the convention takes place.

Just as this quarter was slowing down for the moving companies, First Class got back to work with this project. Hosting the convention at the Forum required that everything from the LCD television to the wood-finished bars and bar stools to the granite-top tables be moved out of the hotel.

The high-end furniture and electronic equipment was quickly moved out by crews of eight to twelve men and transported to First Class’ storage facility. The expansive, climate-controlled storage facility will house the furniture for two months, until the movers bring the furniture back to the hotel.

The movers packed the contents and wrapped the furniture of 30 luxury suites in the hotel. First Class also furnished the hotel with protective wrapping for the newly renovated doorways, floors and walls.

In September, First Class will face the daunting task of placing the items back into the hotel. The granite-top tables and wooden bars will be moved from the storage facility back into the Forum, and the protective wrapping will be taken down.

Until then, the project manager Eric Gephart will be working closely with the facilities team at the Forum to ensure that all of the items are properly transported and stored.
“Our company is proud to be providing moving and storage services to the Republican National Convention,” said Chris Hunt, CEO and general counsel for First Class Moving Systems. The company is currently storing the furniture and electronics for the Forum and will return them when the RPC ends in September.
