Fred Dahr, a well-respected Houston-based criminal defense attorney, has recently hired Krisina Zuñiga as a legal assistant in his private practice. Her responsibilities will include researching case background and legal history, communicating with clients and witnesses, and business management.
Krisina Zuñiga’s Background
Originally from Laredo, Texas, Krisina Zuñiga graduated summa cum laude as a member of the Rice University Class of 2012 with a double major in Philosophy and Policy Studies and a minor in Poverty, Justice and Human Capabilities. As a student, Zuñiga served as an undergraduate fellow of the Humanities Research Center for two years and conducted independent research on the topic of the digital divide and the recent “Super Wi-Fi” network initiative in a low-income Houston neighborhood. She has held internship positions at the Houston Interfaith Worker Justice Center and in the office of the Honorable Judge George P. Kazen, United States District Judge for the Southern District of Texas. At Rice, Zuñiga served in a number of leadership roles, including positions as a student ambassador, vice-president of Legalese, Rice University’s pre-law society, and co-captain of the cheerleading squad. Zuñiga is interested in pursuing a career in public interest law and has been accepted to Stanford Law School.
