In our case, ‘scalability’ isn’t code for ‘low quality.'
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 14, 2012
PadWorx Digital Media, Inc., a leading developer of interactive, immersive ebook apps for tablet devices, announced today that it has entered into a strategic partnership with iHorse Technologies, a Canadian software development and IT solutions company.
According to PadWorx CEO Jeffrey Alan Schechter, iHorse Technologies 200 seat capacity opens up a new market for PadWorx. “We’ve been very successful with our larger, handcrafted book/apps however publishers tell us they need a way to create high quality book/apps, in quantity, on today’s tighter budgets. This partnership now enables us to do this for our clients.”
Daniel Brody, President of iHorse Technologies agrees. “By combining PadWorx’s publishing engine with iHorse’s production capacity, we truly become a digital publishing powerhouse,” said Brody. “At full capacity, iHorse and PadWorx can output 100 titles a month or more.”
Schechter and Brody are quick to point out that even at this output level the quality of the books will remain high because of the publishing platform created by PadWorx co-founder Tod Baudais. Built from scratch, PadWorx’s technology is a visual editor on top of a gaming engine, allowing PadWorx and iHorse to quickly add text, animation, audio, video, interactivity, and CG particle effects such as fire, smoke, water, snow, etc to any title. “In our case, ‘scalability’ isn’t code for ‘low quality’,” says Schechter.
In the past two years, PadWorx has created three Apple iPad App of the Week titles including the award winning ‘Dracula: The Official Stoker Family Edition.’ Most recently, PadWorx completed an innovative storybook for NBC/Universal’s, 'Snow White and the Huntsman' as well as an immersive travel app for Tourism Australia. PadWorx was also awarded a Publishing Innovation Award in 2011.
