“FirstTest delivers an accurate and consistent protocol which eliminates user bias and administrative errors."

M&S Technologies, the first name in computerized vision testing systems, developed FirstTest to ensure that pediatricians, eyecare professionals, school nurses and other health agencies have the most advanced tools to accurately and efficiently screen children and adults in order to identify potential eye disorders.

Fast, easy-to-use and reliable, FirstTest conforms to Pediatric and Ophthalmic Professional Association vision screening guidelines. An advantage of this system is that it can be conducted by anyone in the practice. In a high volume pediatric practice or health screening environment such as schools, city or county vision programs, the screening can be conducted with minimal training. The user simply selects letters or symbols, type of test, age of the child and the screening begins. The average screening time is 2 minutes.

FirstTest can operate on any PC running Windows XP or Windows 7, whether it be a laptop or one of the M&S Smart System All-in-One units. And the software can be easily calibrated by each administrator with the testing distance, letter/symbol set and test type (Critical Line, Single Letter with Crowding Bars, Massachusetts Test and Threshold Test). M&S is the exclusive provider of LEA symbols and numbers in a digital format.

“FirstTest delivers an accurate and consistent protocol which eliminates user bias and administrative errors. Like all the innovations in the Smart System family, M&S stands behind this product and offers attentive customer service and technical support if needed.”
