Water Studios Sets Up 'HOME: The Create and Make Campaign' website to Help UK Seize Opportunity to Take the Lead on What Could be the Biggest Crises of the Decade, Jobs, in Time for Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrat Party Conferences.

Through http://www.createandmake1m.com, 'HOME: The Create and Make Campaign' can help further establish the UK as the creative workshop of the world, by creating an innovative website with the goal of supporting and inspiring 1 million people in the UK, to find employment.

The campaign website is available to view on-line, however it is still under development. Once completed the website will allow employers to post paid internship opportunities that unemployed talent can apply to. The website will provide video content that gives practical advice to businesses and unemployed talent on issues such as, accessing emerging markets, implementing social media strategies, and project management. The website will also provide a forum for, and encourage businesses to, network with other businesses with the goal of collaborating in new and creative ways.

'Create and Make' will work with participating businesses to create project specific internship programmes called Talent Programmes which unemployed talent will be able to apply for. These projects will incorporate project delivery principles made famous by the Atlassian FedEx Day. Principles such as the freedom for the project team to work on anything that relates to the products or services of the business, and the need for the team to demonstrate results to their colleagues. These projects will be designed to deliver scalable growth to the business. Unemployed talent will be able to apply to become a member of the project team, in an internship capacity. Applications will be made through http://www.createandmake1m.com.

Interns will be required and employers encouraged, to post video diaries on their experiences in delivering the project. These videos will be available to view on http://www.createandmake1m.com. Where possible details of successes achieved and lessons learnt through the Talent Programme will be shared with the 'Create and Make' community on-line, so that others can learn from and build on that experience. The employer will provide the intern with a report and track record of results achieved, which will be available on-line for employers to view, and which the intern can use to gain employment.

One of the benefits for employers will be that 'Create and Make' will support them in building projects designed to explore high growth opportunities, without substantial risk or overhead costs. 'HOME: The Create and Make Campaign' will work with employers to boost their innovation capabilities.
