This is our way of letting the community of Aurora know the family of Sprouts cares about them,” said Sprouts President Doug Sanders. “This is what neighbors do for one another. We are proud to be Aurora’s neighbor and help them in any way possible.
Phoenix, Arizona (PRWEB) August 13, 2012
Sprouts Farmers Market and Sunflower Farmers Market have donated $100,000 to the Aurora Victim Relief Fund to benefit the immediate and long-term needs of victims of the mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado on July 20, 2012. The large contribution represents proceeds of the sale of excess equipment from Sprouts’ recent merger with Sunflower Farmers Market.
Sprouts Farmers Market has 146 stores throughout eight states in the Southwest. This includes twelve recently acquired Sunflower stores in Colorado, bringing the total number of stores statewide to 21. Their increased presence in the state inspired them to respond by lending a helping hand in a time of need.
“This is our way of letting the community of Aurora know the family of Sprouts cares about them,” said Sprouts President Doug Sanders. “This is what neighbors do for one another. We are proud to be Aurora’s neighbor and help them in any way possible.”
An active participant in all of the communities in which it operates, Sprouts Farmers Market supports the efforts of the Community First Foundation and the Aurora Victim Relief Fund. Sprouts is pleased to be taking part in the healing of Aurora.
The Aurora Victim Relief Fund is administered through the Community First Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity that provides tax incentives for donations as allowed by law.
