Ardenleigh LLP, specialist Lawyers, authorised by the Immigration Services Commissioner in implementing the UK Immigrant Investor Program to potential immigrants around the world, work with experienced UK financial institutions and advisers to provide a complete service to investors to stay in the UK under this scheme.
As the number of cash rich billionaires increases all over the world especially in China, India, and Latin America, the United Kingdom Government has introduced a number of ways for these high net worth individuals to immigrate to the United Kingdom and invest in its economy.
For many high net worth individuals, the 'Investor' category is the option they decide to pursue.
The 'Investor' category was created by the UK Government in 1994 to attract high net worth individuals and their families to immigrate to the UK by making a substantial investment in the UK.
In 2004, the category was amended by the UK Government to allow certain qualified institutions to finance the investment required under the category.
What are the criteria for a UK Tier 1 Investor visa?
They must provide evidence that:
(a) They have £1million under their control in a UK regulated bank, or
(b) They have net assets exceeding £2million and have £1million in the UK (which can be loaned money)
They must invest the money for 5 years in the UK and at least £750,000 must be in UK government bonds, UK equities or loan capital in active trading UK companies. Property investments or offshore companies are not allowed.
There is no requirement for business experience or English language requirements and employment is permitted under this visa.
They must make the UK your main home and spend more than 50% of your time in the UK.
Accelerated routes to permanent residency are available if you invest £5million which allows for settlement after 3 years or £10million which allows for settlement after 2 years
Ardenleigh Adviser Mr Wole Adenle also informed us that they arrange loan facility to purchase UK Government Bonds or discretionary managed investment portfolio with a UK Financial Institution to meet the financial requirements to qualify under this scheme.
