ALBURTIS, Pa. – (August 13, 2012) – Tait Zinszer’s masterful compilation of ancient texts, The Word of Gnosis: A Light in the Darkness of Universal Forgetfulness, Ignorance of the Soul Edition, is made available for modern-day readers through bookstores. Zinszer’s book lifts passages from major manuscripts like, the “Nag Hammadi Scriptures,” “The Hermetica: The Lost Wisdom of the Pharaohs,” and the “Kolbrin.” It is a wealth of information for people interested in acquiring deeper knowledge of self, the Divine, and the true essence of Gnosis.

Gnosis is esoteric or intuitive knowledge of spiritual truth held by the ancient “Gnostics” to be essential for salvation. Gnosticism contains doctrines of certain pre-Christian pagan, Jewish, and early Christian sects that valued the revealed knowledge of God, and the origin and end of the human race as a means to attain redemption.

The “Nag Hammadi Scriptures” are 2nd century Gnostic manuscripts discovered in Nag Hammadi Egypt in 1945, which rivaled the Dead Sea Scrolls find in its significance. It includes the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Mary Magdalene, and other Gnostic gospels and sacred texts. The book “The Hermetica: The Lost Wisdom of the Pharaohs” is credited to Thoth-Hermes, an Egyptian sage who lived around 3,000 B.C. It is the foundation of the western mystery tradition. This text contains historical background information and a selection of Hermetic writings. The “Kolbrin,” on the other hand, incorporates a body of enlightened teachings which is recognized by many to be treasure of the centuries, providing a light on the path of Truth, and is as applicable to the world today, as they were in the past.

More specifically, Zinszer lifts teachings from the “Book of Creation,” “Book of Gleanings,” “Book of Wisdom,” and the Celtic “Book of Origins” of the “Kolbrin,” to create his own anthology helping readers cross-reference other ancient manuscripts such as his own revised version of the Babylonian Creation myth: Enuma Elish. He also includes Gnostic texts like the “Secret Book of John,” “Secret Book of James, and the “Revelation of Peter” in conjunction with his own revised versions of the book of “Revelations” and the “Gospel of John” of the “New Testament.”

About the Author
Tait Zinszer is considered an ancient astronaut theorist, an avid historian, and a seeker of Truth. His yearning to find the answers to the inconsistencies he discovered in the Bible, led him to research ancient Egyptian and Babylonian manuscripts that pre-date as well as overlap that same time period in history. Zinszer’s desire for the knowledge of spiritual truths became the driving force in compiling his findings into one resource for contemplation. By merging Eastern Philosophy with esoteric knowledge and apostolic doctrine, Zinszer has created a comprehensive anthology that infuses wisdom and vitality to all that read it.
