Poems for Comfort, a collection of poems by Wanda Alexander Davis, is bound to excite, entertain, and enchant as it offers a richly layered collection of thoughts, musings, and ponderings on love, life, and everything in between.

Davis invites readers to keep a sharp eye, a keen ear, and an inquiring mind, along with an open heart. Poems for Comfort opens a journey to unknown places with different people mentioned for odd reasons. In this compelling collection of poems, the spirit is lifted up, tears are shed, and joyous times are remembered. While some pieces are amusing and others puzzling, each work in this selection of favorites will remind individuals of the pleasurable experiences, and solitary moments and stir up the little bit of a child within. Like no other book of poems, this one tells what inspired the poet to write each one.

Emotive, honest, and moving, Davis’ book will lead emotions to run wild as the poet recalls various occasions in her life, ones that many others can easily relate to. These are poems that make the routinary lambent with original meaning the way the Creator, perhaps, meant things to be: occasional, effective, meaningful and satisfying.
